Goodbye, Hello and the Wind of Change

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." – Proverbs 3:5-7

These words have been the biggest reflection of the Rough Draft ministry for the past three years. God has spoken these words to the RD crew and seems to reveal them time and time again.

It is through these words that God has brought some changes to the Rough Draft family. Often, change can reveal itself in scary times, but through it all, God is good.

It has been decided after much time in prayer and in meditation that Drew Torres and Brent Thayer will no longer be a part of the Rough Draft ministry after March 9th.

First and foremost, it is important to recognize that this decision was made by Drew and Brent. No one was "kicked out" and they are all just as much brothers in Christ as they were before.

For Drew, he will be pursuing other opportunities in Denver and attending school at CU Denver. He still plans to pursue music later, with a better understanding of both the business side and of the music itself.

For Brent, he is also looking at pursuing school. When looking at the big picture, he is interested in all sorts of different things and is looking for God's guidance in which direction to move forward.

With that, there will be some new faces in the near future.

We would like to introduce you to Adam Woodroof (lead guitar) and Dave King (bass guitar). Both of these musicians will begin working with the band in March 2008. Adam has most recently played guitar with Three Cord Wonder and Dave has been leading worship for his church in Greeley – and you may remember both of them from the band Wrestling Jacob. Each of these musicians exemplify the Rough Draft mission of connecting people to Jesus and we look forward to seeing how God is going to use them in the Rough Draft ministry.

We, as a band of brothers and all who have served in this ministry, want to thank you for your support. We believe that God is building relationships with Him through this band and we value your support more then you know. So, the next show you see may look a little different on stage, but rest assured, the mission remains the same!

Everyone who is and has been a part of this ministry wants to leave you with this: God is good! Whether you are at home or work or school or in the heart of some third world country faithfully serving in the mission field, He is with you. He loves you. Thank you Brent and Drew! Welcome Adam and Dave!

In Christ,
RD
